Brunch...food was delicious. Really impressed . Has the cheese hash brown side, very good. Chorizo and whipped feta and a full English. All really good quality, excellent flavours and hot and fresh..
What a lovely place! From the moment we entered to when we left it was a first class experience. Staff were very warm and welcoming, the menu was very good with one or two vegetarian/vegan options. My wife, who is vegan, had the Margarita and I had the chicken pesto pizza and both were delicious. They say you eat with your eyes first and the chicken pizza looked delicious.
Lovely place that serves tasty fresh food. Went with the family and the kids really enjoyed their pizzas. I had the beef followed by the cheese board which was fantastic. I recommend it if you want a fancy meal out as a treat.
Absolutely fantastic, great food, great deco, hospitality was great and very chatty, just a fab experience visiting and eating today with the Poppi Red Team so thankyou guys.
Great little spot for a light lunch. Although they were full they quickly found us a table. Service was quick and efficient. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. The prices were very kind to the pocket.

Poppi Red in the centre of hawkshead is a well located centre eatery. We nipped in for lunch and had a cajun sandwich. So first, the great points: Very friendly staff, great decor, good selection of foods and options. Clean facilities and toilets and overall great atmosphere. Large indoor area and outdoor area, too. Overall 5/5 for the eatery. The only bad point (for me) we nipped in for lunch. Had a cajun sandwich and roast potatoes. Potatos were ok (new potatos roasted, not crispy), and the cajun sandwich was OK but tasted more like a very mild peri peri (for the record. I may be critical here after eating cajun food regularly, esp in New Orleans) but it was OK For quick lunch, there may be better and cheaper in the village (it's a busy village though, so don't let that put you off this place at all). But if you fancy a bit fancier and indoors, it's worth a visit. Not to our taste, but we were told pizza was great by quite a few local places, and all in all, try it out. Next time we are back, we will try the pizza.
